如果你要用一个新的硬盘来取代旧硬盘的话该如何做?你如何保存硬盘中的数据?有一种方法是在新硬盘安装好操作系统后手工拷贝文件到新硬盘中。但是如果不用这个方法的话又该如何？况且要靠被所有文件到新硬盘中也不是一件容易的事。
HD Clone Free 也许可以解决这个问题，这个工具可以从一个小硬盘中拷贝内容到新硬盘而不妨碍现有的操作系统、系统文件或隔离盘。它支持IDE、SATA和USB驱动，而且支持大容量硬盘。当然，它也有一些限制，这主要是影响传输率，它的最大传输率是每秒5MB，并且只支持USB 1.1。
大多数HD Clone版本支持SCSI, Firewire和USB 2.0。
上面的图片来自专业版本，它并不是免费版本。HD Clone在第一次使用时创建一个可重启盘活CD,这可以用来重启电脑和载入HD Clone软件。但如果Windows在运转时它并不能传输系统文件。
免费HD Clone版本仅仅可以靠从小硬盘拷贝文件到大硬盘，专业版则支持拷贝隔离区，不过它还是比较实用。如果你拷贝一个大硬盘的话可能需要从早上开始运行直到晚上才有可能结束。
