在网络上我并没有发现太多对CA Anti-virus 2008这个软件的测试报告，Zdnet有一篇文章讨论关于这个软件，另一篇在Top Ten Reviews上。但它看上去还不错，尽管不是最好的，但也不是最差的。你可以得到一个免费注册码可以在三台电脑上安装。该软件的零售价为39.99美元。
CA Anti-virus 2008可以侦测到病毒、木马和蠕虫，但不能侦测到间谍软件和恶意软件。目前，它适用32-bit版本的Windows 2000, XP和Windows Vista。
你可以在这个网页上得到免费注册码，你需要输入有关信息。该网页是德语版，不过可以依次填入：名、姓、国家、电子邮件、重复电子邮件、密码、重复密码。点击Senden按钮，你会在信箱中得到一封电子邮件，里面有一个包含注册码的链接。
下载链接同样也是德语版，下载软件也是德语。如果你需要别的语言的话可以点击链接：English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese，以及另外两个中文版本繁体和简体。
我测试的英文版并没有什么问题。
