很多电脑用户至今仍然使用Microsoft Outlook作为他们的主要邮件客户端，当然这是由于方便，在Windows操作系统中附带着Outlook Express，零售的Microsoft Office也有Outlook。它的最大好处是不用去下载别的邮件客户端如Thunderbird等等。
Outlook Tools 是一个可以帮助设置Microsoft Outlook的工具。你可以使用它来禁止文件的扩展。打开软件后界面上有五个小窗口，他们是General, Startup Switches, Clear MRU, New Mail Alert和Blocked Attachments。
大部分选项都很清楚，如Clear MRU是指清除最近使用的列表如搜索历史纪录。该软件独立运行，可以自动侦测出Outlook 2000以上的版本更新。他并没有对Outlook Express做什么说明，我也并没有就此进行测试，主管猜想可能也适用。
Outlook Tools需要Microsoft .net framework，适用于Windows 2000, XP和Vista版本。
