当看到Miro重出江湖我很怀疑它是否仍然是那个Democracy Player，它曾经让我望而生畏。如果你从来也没有听说过Miro的话让我来介绍一下它的主要概念。Miro并不仅仅是一个播放器，它的实际功能要大的多。它可以帮助你管理你电脑中的视频，还可以将观看的视频自动添加到Miro中。你可以创建和归类你的视频，并用缩图来显示。
这只是Miro的一个功能而已。我觉得它的主要功能是能通过不同的方式来下载视频，如Bittorrent，视频入门网站Youtube，和订阅的视频RSS feeds。还能创建搜索视频频道，如果你喜欢足球的话可以设定在Youtube上常规搜索足球视频。你可以创建一个搜索频道，它可以自动更新新视频。
近来一个新版本刚刚发布，它是Miro开发团队的结晶。Miro的新版本比原来的要平稳的多，尤其是更新到XULRunner 1.9后改善了Windows和Linux中的内存消耗。如果你感兴趣的话可以去看一下该版本。
