我们都看到新闻说Windows 7预计会在2009年末开始分发给一些合作者作为测试。Microsoft对Windows Vista下一代的功能和设计非常保密，至今没有发布任何有关新系统的信息。
自从它的milestone 1在两个论坛上透露后逐渐显露出来，一个不久后被删除但缓存还在。测试者对Windows 7并不太满意，并表示出失望。
第二个是一个中文作者，他发布了Windows 7的截图。直到现在并没有人验证这些截图的真实性。他们看上就像Windows Vista，作为前期版本这也可以理解。让我们期望Microsoft不要将Windows 7只作为一个花瓶-好看而不中用。
