Google Reader Notifier是一个适合Windows操作系统的小软件，它驻在系统托盘中提醒用户在Google Reader中未阅读的信息，它会将未阅读信息显示在系统托盘上方一个非常小的框内。可定义为大概每5到120分钟检查一次。
第一次使用时用户需输入Google账户的用户名和密码，这样该软件就能进入Google Reader检查新的消息。点击通知窗口便可以在你的浏览器上载入Google Reader。可指定一个标签让Google Reader Notifier只通知那些没有阅读的新消息。
