Firefox 3的代码名叫Gran Paradiso，它将在九月份发布alpha版本。发布的Gran Paradiso alpha 7可能是它最后的alpha版本，所以我决定看看它的真面目。首先，我感觉到新版本的Firefox具有超人的速度。
我决定将不同的浏览器Firefox 2.0.0.6, Internet Explorer 7, Opera 9.22和Firefox Gran Paradiso Alpha 7（Firefox 3）作一番速度比较。结果当然是Gran Paradiso alpha 7最快。
Webwait 是一个网站速度测试网站，你可以输入一个网址，你可以定义多次进入该网站的次数，然后Webwait会计算出进入网站的平均速度。第一次的速度总是最快的，当然这是由于其他的进入是使用它的缓存来提高速度。
我测试了所有的浏览器，并使用这些网站进行测试： Google, Digg和CNN。下面是具体结果：

Opera 9.22
* Google: 0.40s
* Digg: 3.77s
* Cnn: 4.40
Firefox 2.0.0.6
* Google: 0.23s

* Google: 0.20s
* Digg: 2.36s
* Cnn: 1.52s
Gran Paradiso是最出色的。结果令人惊讶，它击败了所有其他的浏览器，特别是在比较困难的网站载入时间上。我有点迫不及待它的测试版正试发布。
